Milk with rice: dessert
When we think about rice, in our minds comes up dishes like chicken with rice, veggies with rice or leek with rice. have you considered until now a dessert with rice, not salty but with sugar? Milk with rice has been long established in Bulgarian cuisine as well as cream caramel (see in my next blog).
The cooking time is 35 minutes and you can make 6 servings.
Ingredients:
- milk- 1 liter
- rice - 2 coffee cups
- water 2 cups of tea
- vanilla extract - 1 piece
- cinnamon - 1 teaspoon
- sugar - 1 cup of tea
Instructions:
- Wash the rice. Put it in a pan with the water to boil. The rice is ready when soaks the water and gets softer
- Add the milk to the rice. Stir constantly until the rice is fully cooked.
- Remove the pan from the hotplate and add the sugar. Put it back there ad the vanilla after 3 minutes remove it and switched off the heating.
- While it is hot distribute it in cups or bowls.
- Sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon after 15 minutes.
- Ready to serve the milk with rice dessert
Another way of serving this dessert is by adding some fruits like blueberries.
